Oh boy! It’s another update! I know that’s what you’re all thinking because these are fun and engaging right?!

This weekend saw our first road race we’ve hosted since 2014, and it went without a hitch! (OK, maybe there was one. To tow the trailer around.) Check out some words from one of the race organizers (and Vice President and Clothing Manager, and all around lovely guy, Greg Nicholson)

“Saturday, June 23 marked the return of the Pigeon Lake Road Race. Until it's cancellation in 2014, the PLRR was the largest one day road race in Alberta, and we always wanted to bring this one back. However, a busy late June weekend, combined with a forecast of thunderstorms, kept our registration numbers to a modest 102 racers.  However, the day had almost perfect weather, there were no crashes, and almost all of the feedback was overwhelmingly positive!

Thanks to all the racers and volunteers for making this happen.  We'll definitely be back next year, and hopefully get a spot on the schedule in late May or early June, which should see an increase in registrants as well as make it much easier for volunteers.”
