Annnnd I’m back at this this week! If you preferred Tiffany’s brand of communiques then unfortunately you’re stuck with my… er... rambling musings? As usual we will continue to be using strava for all “official” rides so please join us on there if you would like to stay up to date on all the rides we have going on!
Club Events:
Wednesday is our final learn to ride session (for now, we might have another refresher for new members and people who would like to practice more during the summer!) On the docket is a full on group ride - everyone is welcome and we will be splitting into several groups based on your comfort and ability level.
Interested in racing and don't know where to begin? Our Try Racing Program is for you - with limited spots, it offers a mentored program along with a bit of financial assistance to get you lined up for your first road race! https://zone4.ca/register.asp?id=21068&lan=1&cartlevel=1
ERTC often has little “special edition” rides that occur outside of Edmonton. Our first one planned this year will take place at Highwood Pass. Highwood Pass is Canada’s highest paved highway, and is closed to cars before the second week of June, and is a popular spot for cyclists of all skill levels due to this fact! Because the route is an out and back, you can start at multiple points along the ride depending on your fitness level. We are planning this for June 8th and want to have at least 2 options for distance and start location available, including an ERTC-Lite option and will be posting on Strava closer to the date. If you are interested in the ERTC-Lite option, please email ertclite@ertc.org so we can get an idea of whether there is enough interest to ensure we can get a ride leader out.
