Beginner Track Night
Try the Track while strengthening your riding skills in a safe, traffic free environment. Argyll Velodrome at 5pm. Bring your pedals. An assortment of Fuji track bikes are provided.
Tuesday Night Intervals
Start Location: Wild Earth Cafe
Alternate Start: Strathcona Olympiette Centre, Range Road 224, Sherwood Park, AB or where ever gets you to the intervals by 6:15 PM.
Planned Distance: 87 Km
Average Group Pace: 30 - 33 km/h.
Water: It is recommended that riders carry three bottles plus adequate food for the duration of the ride.
This is typically a quick group ride to Range Road 222 (824) and Township Road 520. The standard training is 4 x 5 km intervals, 2 east and 2 west.
Wednesday - New Location
Beginner road bike ride - CLOSED
Typically this is a group road skills ride, open to recreational riders and fit beginner riders, that starts at 6:15 p.m. sharp at the Strathcona Olympiette Center. This 2 hour ride averages 25 to 30 km/h pace. The ride is designed to strengthen group riding skills for both new and experienced riders.
City Hill Circuit
The infamous City Hill Circuit meets at Hawrelak Park (200 metres west of park entrance). Ride leaves at 6pm. Test your lung capacity on this two-hour ride on the best hills the city of Edmonton has to offer. Do it with some of the best hill climbers in Alberta!
Meet at Wild Earth Bakery & Cafe (8902 - 99 Street). Rides begin at 10:00 a.m. sharp. This road ride has options from two - six hours in length, with the group splitting according to speed and endurance abilities.
