Hey everyone! While we haven’t completely shut down for the year yet due to the unseasonably warm temperatures, rides are slowing down, which means it’s time for our annual general meeting. 

Our AGM is a place where we can discuss how the year went, how we can do better next year, hang out with each other, and elect positions for next year.

Our AGM date is November 26, at 6:30pm.

We usually have a poll soliciting feedback on our various rides and programs, but we had quite the cut down schedule and very little programming. If you have any direct feedback or thoughts on how we can do better, you can email/DM/chat to anyone on the executive team. 

Positions open for this year include:

  1. Vice President (Currently held by Kelly MacGregor)

  2. Secretary / Communications (Currently held by Cheryl Voordenhout)

  3. Women’s Cycling Manager (Currently held by Tiffany Baker)

Kelly and Cheryl will not be seeking re-election and thus their positions will be vacant. The executive team has some people they have asked to consider putting their name into the running, however no-one has confirmed they would like to take part, so I would ask you to consider putting your name forward during the AGM, or asking a current member to nominate you. If you have any questions on how it all works, let me know and I can help answer. 

Tiffany will be seeking re-election with the understanding that this will be her final term if elected, and is looking for people to help fill the gap once she is gone in 2023. She will be reaching out to you personally if she thinks you are a good fit. 

As of this writing, there is still no snow, which means that we will continue to have Thursday Rides (bring lights). Pickup rides are always welcomed and you are always free to propose a ride and meeting place on Slack.
